Hello everyone, after an unfortunate year long hiatus due to matters that were out of our control, we are back full time developing the next release of our automated conference server for Skype. When many of you joined us, we were primarily focused on supporting the online gaming voice market. However, as we should have realized much sooner, there was just as much interest in S4PG.Server being used for automated conferences for both hobbyists and businesses.
On that note, we started redesigning it from the ground up to support automated intelligent conferences for just about any application. We've been back at work since September 2011 and we hope to have a new beta available sometime near the middle of March 2012 (for select beta testers). Just as Skypecasting did long ago, you will be able to publish your conference rooms to either our website, or one of our partner's websites, and allow people to join your fully moderated and managed conference rooms with a single click. We have a new interface and lots of new features coming. Even web audio streaming of your call should show up in another beta version or two. :)
There will no longer be any support for S4PG.Client, which had the primary purpose of providing Push-to-Talk (Now functional in the latest version of Skype) and allowing a user to interface with Skype from with in a full screen game. If you need support for in-game Skype control, we highly recommend visiting
http://overwolf.com and grabbing their software. It is
very well done. We will be releasing either web or client based tools for a few other features. In time, we hope to have small apps for Android/iOS/Windows Phone 7 that will allow you to monitor the conference rooms that you are subscribed to and see information about their activities.
Earlier this month (January 2012), we hit a minor user milestone, our 400th S4PG.Server user account, consisting of around 620 conference rooms.
Please join our
product support room to chat with us or ask if you'd like to help us beta test the next release. (Note, you must have Skype's web browser plug-in installed to click Skype links.on the web)
